A logisitcal problem

July 25, 2006 at 1:09 pm (Espresso, Lebanon)

Unnamed European official quoted in the New York Times: “All the politicians are saying, ‘Great, great’ to the idea of a [peace-keeping] force [in Lebanon], but no one is saying whose soldiers will be on the ground — everyone will volunteer to be in charge of the logistics in Cyprus.”

Suddenly, paperwork is an attractive option: “Sod patrolling borders Corporal, let’s do the accounts.” Incidentally, there are already UN peacekeepers in Cyprus to keep the Greeks and Turks apart.
